This document sets out how the department will create, promote and sustain opportunities and services to allow people of all abilities equitable opportunity to participate in the community.

It aligns with the Queensland Government’s Absolutely everybody: enabling Queenslanders with a disability, which has a vision for inclusive and enabling communities.

Multicultural Action Plan

Our 2010-11 Multicultural Action Plan ( 159 KB) affirms the department’s commitment to the principles of multiculturalism outlined in the Queensland Government’s multicultural policy Multicultural Queensland – making a world of difference. Through the plan, the department will strive to influence local government and industry sectors to ensure that cultural diversity is recognised and valued so that everyone, regardless of background, has an opportunity to benefit positively as a result of our work.
